Chief Operating Officer
Kim Martinez serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Traditions Behavioral Health reporting directly to our CEO & Founder. In this role Kim oversees the strategic and daily operating aspects of TBH including IT, Scheduling, HR and Systems Development. Kim is responsible for building the infrastructure, systems and processes to strengthen and grow TBH.
Kim is passionate about building companies that make positive differences in the world. Prior to joining Traditions Behavioral Health, Kim was the Sr. Director of Global User Operations for Twitter where she led the global, 24/7 customer service operations and escalations team. In that role Kim was responsible for implementing new content moderation for Twitter’s health and safety policies.
Before joining Twitter, Kim served in several executive level operating roles for rapidly growing health services companies. She was the Vice President of Operations for Wider Circle, an early stage health services company focused on improving the lives and well-being of older adults. She also served as the Chief Growth Officer for Innerchange, a private equity backed leading national provider of mental and behavioral healthcare for young people experiencing emotional, mental health or behavioral difficulties. In that role Kim developed and implemented the company’s growth strategies while overseeing marketing, admissions, sales, business development and new business lines.
Earlier in her career Kim held positions of increasing responsibility at both DaVita and 3M, including roles in engineering, R&D, operations, project management, strategy and innovation. During her eight years at DaVita she was a key member of the team that built DaVita Rx from an idea to a national business, licensed in 50 states, serving over 65k patients.
Kim earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University Summa Cum Laude and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is an active board member for Mass Liberation, a non-profit providing holistic empowerment to individuals returning to society after serving time in prison or jail. During her spare time Kim likes to bake, bike with her family and spend time outdoors.
