TBH is delighted to announce that we have been asked by the County of Ventura to start an outpatient contract on July 1, 2019 with 34 or so FTE’s of Psychiatry.
This is the largest single contract that TBH has been awarded in our 23 year history.
The base salary for adult psychiatrists with TBH on this project will be $270,000 per year & our full benefit package https://tbhcare.com/benefits/. For child psychiatrists the salary will be $285,000 per year & our full benefits.
The adult doctors & child doctors will be able to augment their (40 hour) salary with up to $75,000 in performance bonuses. Nurse practitioners would be able to augment their (40 hour) salary with up to $40,500 per year.
The Physician productivity bonus would be up to $40,000 per year and the wait time reduction bonus would be up to $35,000 per year and these would be paid quarterly. The Nurse Practitioner productivity bonus would be up to $21,600 per year and the wait time reduction bonus would be up to $18,900 per year.
- PRODUCTIVITY: For physicians: 60% productivity will be $10,000 per quarter, 57% productivity will be $7,500 per quarter, $53.5% productivity will be $5,000 per quarter, and 50% productivity will be $2,500 per FTE of psychiatric services. For nurse practitioners: 60% productivity will be $5,400 per quarter, 57% productivity will be $4,050.00 per quarter, 53.5% productivity will be $2,700 per quarter, and 50% productivity will be $1,350 per quarter. Productivity bonuses apply through 12/31/19, at which point percentages will increase.
- WAIT TIME: for psychiatrists, the bonus related to reducing the wait time to 15 business days or less would be $8,750.00 per quarter for 100% compliance and $4,375.00 per quarter for 90% compliance (10/1/19 and beyond). For nurse practitioners, the bonus for reducing the wait time to 15 business days or less would be $4,725 per quarter for 100% compliance $2,362 for 90% compliance (10/1/19 and beyond). From 7/1/19-9/30/19, the scale is noted in the grid below, with bonuses available at the 90% and 80% compliance levels.
- There is an additional 5% bonus for bilingual professionals (English/Spanish), with adult psychiatrists earning up to $283,500 per year base salary and child and adolescent psychiatrists earning up to $299,250 per year base salary plus up to $75,000 in bonuses, based on a 40h/week FTE. Bilingual nurse practitioners will have a base salary (40h/week) of $153,090 for those seeing adults, while those seeing children and adolescents will have a base salary of $161,595 plus up to $40,500 in bonuses.
So if you are an adult psychiatrist you could make a salary on 40 hours per week of $345,000 or $360,000 as a child doc (plus an additional 5% for bilingual professionals), assuming that the above productivity & access issues are accomplished. Nurse practitioners can earn up to $186,300 for seeing adults or $194,400 for seeing children and adolscents (plus an additional 5% for bilingual professionals), assuming the above productivity & access goals are met.
