Description

Community Research Foundation seeks psychiatrists to work 8 OR 16-hour shifts at the Jane Westin Center on weekdays and weekends.  As noted in more detail below, this is a walk-in crisis unit for adults.

The AM salary is $241,000 per year plus $10,000 in bonuses and benefits based on the equivalent of 40 hours per week.  This comes out to $1,115.75 per 8 hour shift from 8am to 4pm

 

The PM salary is $300,000 per year plus $10,000 in bonuses and benefits based on the equivalent of 40 hours per week.  This comes to $1,400.00 per 8 hours shift from 4pm to 12am

 

The combined salary would be $270,500.00 per year plus $10,000 in bonuses and benefits based on the equivalent of 40 hours per week (9 sixteen hour shifts per month using the PTO, CME time and holiday pay concurrently).  This comes out to $2,515.75 per 16 hour day from 8am to 12am.

 

BASE SALARIES INCLUDE $10,000 IN BONUSES AND THESE FULL BENEFITS FOR A GENERAL PSYCHIATRIST.

Jane Westin Center

Jane Westin Center  is an urgent walk-in center that provides integrated, coordinated crisis services for adults 18 and older who have serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance disorders.

Program Description

Jane Westin Center is a walk-in, urban, center which provides evaluation and treatment that are consistent with psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery principles to adults 18 years of age and older with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring mental health and substance disorders.  The objective at the Jane Westin Center is to provide mental health evaluation and treatment that will help stabilize clients who are unable to be treated elsewhere and then link them with another program for on-going medication management services and/or other services and supports.

Services

Services include:

  • Psychosocial Evaluation
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management
  • Short term Case Management

Referral Process

Referrals may be initiated by any individual or family member, concerned citizen, or social service provider/professional. Those interested in services can walk-in to the clinic on any weekday Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Certifications

The program is a Medi-Cal provider certified by San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, Behavioral Health Services Department and California Department of Mental Health.

Walk-in Hours

10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Fees and Funding

Jane Westin Center is primarily funded through contracts with the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, Behavioral Health Services Department.  The program accepts Medi-Cal.  For individuals with no insurance, fees are based on a sliding scale determined by one's income.  No one is denied services based on inability to pay.
