Kaweah Delta Health Care District (KDHCD) is a 500-bed public  hospital with an exciting new ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program  affiliated with the University of California at Irvine School of Medicine (www.kaweahpsych.org). Located in  the family-friendly and affordable, rural Central Valley of California, the  Psychiatry Department has 25 credentialed psychiatrists committed to a mission  of excellence in teaching, scholarly activity and clinical care in a medically under-served area.

Core Faculty positions include protected academic time  and weekday clinical coverage for 12 inpatient beds (Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm). The faculty salary for a 40-hour/week full-time academic position is $220,000 and $10,000 in bonuses along with an employee benefit package valued  at $64,000. Candidates must be Board Certified/Eligible and Fellowship training is desirable.

Retired doctors or others interested in temporary work can make $100,000 in three months working Monday thru Friday, 60 hours per week seeing 17 acute inpatients daily. Recent acute (defined as less than 9 days) inpatient experience required & familiarity and comfort with documentation requirements - considered a must.
